If you get a breakout, dab a bit of honey on the irritated spots before washing your face. You’ll notice a difference. Honey attracts moisture and helps your skin retain moisture.

Green Tea can be a refreshing facial treatment at the end of a long hard day. All you’ll have to do is soak a cotton washcloth in cool green tea then place it over your face for ten minutes. You can also help to reduce under eye puffiness and soothe your tired eyes by placing two cold, used caffeinated tea bags for 10-15 minutes, over your eyes. Tea is a strong antioxidant rich in vitamins C and E. It has a variety of benefits that include cleansing your skin, soothing a nasty sunburn, highlighting your hair, relaxing muscles, and soothe puffy eyes. Different teas have the unique properties. For example peppermint tea will energize your body and chamomile tea is relaxing.

If you want to get your face really clean you could mix in some sugar with your favorite cleanser. Ground sunflower seeds, rolled oats, blue cornmeal, ground nuts, like almonds or walnuts, and wheat germ are all
 different things you could use.

To get a longer lasting scent more intense smell you can layer scents. By simply adding a few drops of your favorite scent to your shower gel, lotion, and powder, you’ll create a longer last fragrance.

Winter Wonderland

Perhaps. We just got two entire inches of snow. I'm very happy. I know, to some of you that probably sounds pathetic, whats the big deal about 2 inches of snow. But out here where I live its a very big deal. They've closed roads down and literally everything has been canceled because were having a snowstorm!

*we can ignore the fact it just stopped snowing*

I know that when the weather gets cold, hair gets dried out easier. There are some easy tips to follow to help the problem though. Like take a shower every other day, with cold water. But in case your needed a little something more here's a Hair Mask that'll help rescue your gorgeous locks.

You'll need:

1/2 cup plain yogurt
2 tablespoons light olive oil
3 to 4 drops essential oil of peppermint
1 to 2 drops essential oil of rosemary or 1 sprig fresh rosemary

To make it you just put all the ingredients into a blender or a food processor and blend them until you have a nice smooth mixture. To use it you'll shampoo your hair like normal and then apply the mixture. Gently massage the mixture into your scalp. Then wrap your hair in a old towel or put a shower cap on and leave it on for about 15 to 20 minutes. Afterwards rinse your hair well with warm water and simply style as usual. tadaaa!!!

Why Cucumbers?

I seriously never knew why people put cucumbers over there eyes while they got a facial or something. I've always thought it was a tad strange. Okay, even though I know now why its done, I still think its a tad strange. Sorry. Anywhos for those of you, like me, that have never figured this stuff out; people put cucumbers over there eyes to reduce puffiness. Cucumbers apparently sooth skin and arecalming and relaxing. I don't know about you but I never really thought about cucumbers as relaxing. I personally hate the taste of them...sigh*

But then of course there is those of you that might love and adore cucumbers. If so you might like to know that they have more uses then satisfying you taste buds. You can use them to soothe your tired puffy eyes or you can make a cucumber toner!

Okay, so you wanna know how to make the cucumber toner? You'll need:

Cucumbers1/2 Cucumber with peel, and it needs to be chopped

3 tablespoons witch hazel

2 tablespoons distilled water

It's really easy to make. You'll just have to dump all the ingredients into a blender or a food processor and blend them until they area until they are all smooth. The mixture will probably have some solids so in order to remove them just pour the mixture thru a fine-mesh sieve. If you want the toner to last longer, which you probably do, make sure to keep it i the refrigerator. Wondering how to apply it? Well, just put a little bit of the toner on your face using a nice clean cotton ball!

There you go. Now the puffiness shall disappear....hopefully :)
